So far it's just been one trip a season. But we've yet to experience epic conditions, that might change it...

I just go with the flow, since my work and vacation schedule is super flexible. Slyder has to bid his vacation, so whenever he can go, I can go.

sabatoa Yeah the clocktower place is a thing, lol

I asked because if you were staying off-site then the strip of hotels just south of Petoskey is about half-way between the two hills. It would suck to drive all the way from one to the other when you're right on the hill.

Highlands will generally have better conditions, even though it's only 20-30 miles difference Highlands gets more snow.

That was really out of the norm for Highlands. Typically Mtn is more the party hill and Highlands is more chill.

Do you stay on site or get a place local?

Yeah, part of me wanted to go check it out still but we decided not to. Actually had some solid conditions if I remember correctly.

We stayed right on the mountain. I think we stayed in the Clocktower Hotel? Is that a thing? I may have my different trips confused haha

Leave at 5:00am, maximize your snow time. Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands? Either way I think they give you a lift ticket to use on your day of arrival, although room check-in time is around 4:00. Or, you can book a couple nights at the Best Western Harbor Springs (very short drive to Boyne Highlands and/or Nubs Nob) and spend a couple days at Highlands and a couple days at Nubs Nob.

A few years ago when I used to get the MSIA White-Gold Card (yeah, I'm bringing that up again), I used to pick up my buddy around 5:00am, drive north to, snowboard all day, spend the night at Best Western, ride Nubs all day, spend the night in Boyne City, ride Boyne Mountain all day, spend the night in Cadillac, ride Caberfae all day... and then drive home.
