When there was more snow it was pack down and the sharp edge was covered in the center. He came from the side and clipped the corner.
Any way... It is being fixed as we speak. I gave it to a local shop to get base welded because of your guys input. With a detune, wax and base weld it will cost $80. I am only going to tell my friend what the base weld costed. I learned my lesson. Never give your board to a beginner

BigmountainVMD Hahaha. Cudos to whoever helped you make that, but those are sharp ends bud. The approach end need to be bent to reduce the chances of catching on it if you are going to use metal.

StrattonRider I built a kicker in the center to get on the rail and my friend said "I can hop on, i don't need it." He hit the corner. He went a little to the right from the kicker. There was obviously more snow. It melted.

BigmountainVMD Pics or it's automatically the fault of the rail.

slyder Shit happens even at resorts. You let a bud borrow it and its your rail. Just get it fixed right and chalk it up to bros having a good time.
Still waiting on pics if the rail....

shralp I don't think dripping ptex in it will last long. A base weld will be ideal and should hold up well. No reason to ask your friend to buy you a new board.

slyder Cold rolled steel does have pointed edges. Just cuz a mechanic built it doesn't mean it was built correctly. Time to post some pics of your rail ...

Sounds like there might not be an open end but rather a square 90 degree point (4" square for the top + 4" square for verticals).

If I'm right, that's one of those "put an eye out" kind of builds.
