grafta For some weird reason I started getting notification emails too. I changed setting and still got em. I just setup an email rule with sbf address and 'snowboarding forum' or whatever the emails header was so they get deleted in future. Pretty easy... but yeah, CP doesn't seem to work. No biggie

Donutz I've found that changing the setting in the control panel doesn't change the setting of threads you've already subscribed to. You have to individually unsubscribe to them.

When that screen pops up, scroll down to "messaging and notifications" and in that group, select "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and you have several options available. If you dont want to subscribe or recieve email select "do not subscribe" if you want to subscribe but dont want emails, select "no email notification".

That should solve your issue......
I did all that a long time ago, but kept on getting emails. As such, I unfortunately had to mark them as "Junk". Either way, problem solved.

This is what I ended up doing. I made sure to set my account to "no notifications" but the emails just kept coming, so I marked email from the forum as SPAM.

To the admins: this is an issue you should definitely address in your vBulletin settings. As someone who works with email marketing, I can tell you that you do not want to have a ton of people marking your emails as SPAM. If you get on even the lower level "suspicious activity" or blacklists of email providers, the deliverability of emails to ALL users can be negatively affected.

Donutz It's been years but I think I had that problem when I started. IIRC, changing the setting to "no notifications" only works for future thread subs. Anything you're already subbed to continues to work under the settings it had when you subbed (which happens automatically when you post).

You'll need to clear your thread subscriptions or pull up each subscription and change the settings.

This is all dim distant memory, so details may be different.

Stop notification emails?

I've been into settings and made it so I don't subscribe to threads but the emails are still coming. I need them to stop.

I don't need emails as I look at tappatalk about 50 times per day. Thanks for that, its really helping my productivity levels plus my wife loves it when I ignore her.
