Krug You could take the bindings off and mount wood pegs in a "w" pattern to make a pretty cool hat/coat rack. Whatever you decide, post pics when your project is finished.
Also, if you are looking for cheap decks to make a bench, you can get lucky at Play it Again sports once in a while and find something cheap.

tdn You just inspired me to make a bench. I've thought about doing it, but I'm going to look for some cheap boards and make it a simple project. Unless someone mentioned something cooler, I vote you save the board (hang it on the wall for now) then when you get another, make a bench. You could also make a single chair out of one.

Zombaco, post up some pictures.

Zombaco Something my brother did with unused skate decks was make wall lights. You could probably do the same with the snowboard if you'll like looking at it- you get the art of the board and light.

He used an ikea multi-colored led light strip (like these: Ikea lights) and either glued or screwed them to the top of the boards, and has the bottom graphics pointed out (so top of decks and lights towards the wall). Then got about a 2" spacer for between the board and the wall that the screws will go through, some long screws, and put it into the wall through the truck holes. You could drill through a few of the inserts for the same effect.

I don't think I have a pic, but it looks pretty sweet.

EDIT: I don't have any pics, but I'll try to get some.

Snowboard art/ other use?

Hey guys, I just got an older Burton board from a friend cleaning out his basement, but it's way too small (and old) to use.

I was trying to think up useful things I could do with it other than just hanging it from the wall (something along the lines of a shelf or something). I've seen resorts make benches out of snowboards, but they needed more than 1. Any ideas?
