Helly Hansen Warm (Ice Crew)

Hey guys,

I just picked up both helly hansen's warm shirt, and long under wear. I tried it on in the store, as well as under armour 2.0 shirt and found in the store that the under armour felt a bit warmer in the store, but went with the helly hansen gear as it was mixed with Merino wool which is one of the best as far as base layering goes?

Anyway, I put it on, with a long sleeve shirt, and a 1/4 zip hoodie .. and went outside just to see how it would work .. and it almost felt like it was helping me get cold? Even in doors, it feels as if it's stripping heat away from my body? Has anyone ever experienced this with base layers? I'm no rocket scientist, but I thought they were supposed to trap heat in, not pull it away from my body? Do they work better, if I'm moving around, and my body produces more heat?

I'm not too far from taking this stuff back, and trying the under armour gear. I've just always heard such great things from helly hansen.

Thanks for the advice guys?
