agammill72 I guess I wouldn't know. Do you have any suggestions BurtonAvenger?

BurtonAvenger Yeah Crusty Butt isn't a beginer friendly mountain by any means. And I hope you actually aren't refering to their snowboard school that offers a real curriculum, but instead their ski and ride school.

agammill72 I am from Texas and I have no idea where to start. I looked at a Crested Butte site and they had snow boarding schools. I figured that is where I should start since I know nothing! Thanks for the advice.

T.J. you will prolly be so sore and stiff after the first day i cant imagine making a week of it. go to your local mountain and rent a board and boots. wear water proof pants, jacket and gloves. also have a beenie and goggles with you.

Plooka agammil where are you from. I would really advise starting off on real snow, and dont plan to do it for just one day but perhaps a whole week. It usually takes 3 days to click!

What do you need, I would say some good clothing, jacket, board trousers, gloves, hat and goggles. Then you should be able to rent the board and boots, and get some lessons!

It will change your life

What do I need to do to start snowboarding? Where should I go and what is the best way to begin? I would appreciate all advice!
