The Evo is super fun and the 2014 version is even better.
For the OP, I haven't ridden the Heritage but I rode the Cobra, Proto and SL (and Evo) a couple of weeks ago. I personally found the Cobra to be great carving on groomers - really locks into a carve well and I don't know what the fuss is about re switch, I had no problems riding switch on groomers or pow. Missing some 'fun' though. That said I preferred the Proto in pretty much all conditions but I like the playfulness and more involving ride in all but the lumpiest snow.
The heritage does sound on paper what you're after, but if you want less stiff go SL, if you want more playful/involving go Proto, if you want playfulish, slightly pow optimised(you say you don't ride this) board that still carves well on groomers get the cobra. FWIW you can lay down some fairly decent carves on an Evo, so rider preference is a big factor, most of the boards will do what you're after just fine once you get used to them.

definitely Evo for you, crash77
Loved my Evo. Ended up selling it and my Heritage and going with a Proto. Loved that two board quiver, but just don't get the chance to ride enough anymore to justify two "everyday" boards and the Proto was the sweet spot in between for me.

|boarder22ab||Thanks for all the replies everyone! I think im going to wait it out till the 2014s come out then take a serious look at the cobra and heritage when the time comes. I think the raptor might be a bit to agressive for my riding style as im not usually on too long of runs unfortunately.|

|crash77||Sorry to thread jack but can u guys help me out with this same question. I'm 5'9" 165lbs. I ride relatively small east coast hills (camelback, whitetail, liberty). My riding style is riding switch, butters, spins, natural hits, and an occasional hard charge down the hill. I do not go in the park. I'm leaning evo because of the softer flex and the small hills I ride, but they can't get quite choppy and I'm not sure how it would hold up. I was waiting for the proto hd reviews, which is another story, which one is it? If it's the eve what bindings? Please help. Thanks.|
