sabatoa I'm still on for Saturday at Boyne Mountain or Nubs. @chomps1211 is up there today checking out Boyne and I think he's going to Nubs tomorrow, so he should be able to give us an update on conditions.

sabatoa Jealous that you got to close out Highlands. I had the thought to make the drive up with my kiddo on Sunday but didn't because I thought her Mom was going to pick her up. Turns out she never came, so we could have done it.

It sounds like you thought Highlands was in better shape than Nubs? We haven't settled on where we're all riding on Saturday (Boyne M or Nubs), I'm open to whoever has the best conditions and best terrain available.

ctoma Friday @ Nubs Nob - foggy up high, groomed ice, on and off light rain. Pretty shitty conditions. Some random old dude on skis lost an edge and crashed into a lift pole, broke his leg. My son and I started at 10:00am, we were #11 and #12 to be on the slopes. Stayed for about 4 hours and then the rain picked up intensity so we bailed. Ended up raining pretty hard for the next 3 or 4 hours. We left Nubs at 2:00 and checked in at Boyne Highlands. Dinner at Duffy's Garage (used to be PapaLou's) in Petoskey.

Saturday@ B-Highlands - crusty groomed ice. Took some warm-up runs down Heather and Macgulley to Heather. Crossed over to the Challenger lift for a few runs on North and South Challenger, both were iced corduroy. Took the Interconnect to North Face, rode Floradora, Buckey's, Andrew's Alley. Crusty. Took the ever-slow Lois Lane back to Amy's Chair, did Amy's Run a few times, things were starting to soften up. Form there were hopped around Funland (jumps were sketchy), hit K-2 and Olympic a few times. The snow was sugary at that time. And then my son wanted to ride the Wonder Carpet for old time's sake... all in all it was a pretty good day considering the conditions were less than optimal.

Boyne Highlands closes tomorrow (3/26). Caberfae is closed. Boyne Mountain is trying to stay open until 4/16 (my birthday, don't forget to buy me something nice).

Oh definitely. Rain, sleet, or snow, I'm there.

ctoma ^ All I got from your last post is you are going to take a day or 2 BM. That's a long BM, your legs will probably fall asleep from sitting on the throne that long.

I don't know if it's any different from that offered by BM,.. ie. costs more etc. But Nubs has daycare also!

Nubs Daycare

…that said? If BM is easier and/or what everyone else agrees upon?? It's no biggie for me! I'll do a day or two @ BM!
