linvillegorge Well, we'll see. 12 hours out from the main storm hitting and none of the forecasters can agree in this one. The trend seems to be heading south and east though which isn't good. Good news is that it looks like the tinderbox foothills are going to get a good dose of moisture which they desperately need but the jury is definitely out on what this storm is going to do for the slopes. Fingers crossed but the vacation request has already been submitted. It'll either be powder riding or cleaning out the garage. Let's go powder!!!

hey i was there too! I agree, couldn't believe how empty it was for a 5" sunday. The snow was pretty decent even after you hit that solid crust under the pow. Tomorrow should deliver some goods for wednesday

deagol Went out with Killclimbz and a great crew today, rode this line called "Frankenstein". It was very warm with no wind.

BurtonAvenger I went up to A Basin and rode, it did not ride like 8 inches. That shit was heavy and packed down fast on top of all the wind scree that was everywhere. Slammed my femur up into my hip socket and tossed my lower back out of alignment because the conditions were less than ideal. This next week looks better. But hey Denver, you guys can pack it in.

I have had some fantastic days at Bert after long dry spells with only 3-4" at this time of year. I would have sworn it was 10". I'd give it a try if I were you. You might be pleasantly surprised.
I have a meeting today in Boulder at noon that I was going to have to reschedule if I ended up taking a vacation day today. 6" was my cutoff. >6" and I was gonna ride. <6" and I was gonna go to that meeting.

Hopefully Saturday night's storm will deliver a few inches and I'll head up Sunday morning.
