jfslenes For those on tight budgets, Sipapu is in same general area, is also never crowded. Stop by Indian Hills Inn in Taos for lift ticket discount coupons for Sipapu. Gets you $5 off their cheap $39 ticki.

tands05 I go every year for 3-5 days. I love it because it is never crowded and the backside has plenty of terrain of all types to keep everyone happy. They have had a slow snow year really but got about a 40 inch base. The Crew up there work their asses off and it is always in pretty good shape on the back side...The front side can get a little Icy on Headin Home and Exhibition...Hit up Free Flite and I-25 on the front and the snow is really good most of the time..Anyhing on the back is good most days. my $.02

octane Anyone been to Angel fire lately? We're thinking of going this sunday....but I heard it's really icy right now. Snow report says primary is powder and secondary is packed powder so let me know if you know how the conditions are.

ElChupocabra Angel fire is a decent resort but I would definantly rather shred at Taos or Ski Santa Fe unless lapping the park is your thing

dave1billion I'm going there for a week starting the second weekend in January.

I've been there 3 times over the last two years. I like the town and resort a lot. I also got a lot of help from Experience Snowboards last year when I was trying to get a pair of boots correctly fitted.

Looks like there's a lot of snow on the ground now. Hopefullt they'll get some more powder before I get there.

Review of Angel Fire

So I literally just got home from 5 days at Angel Fire, NM and i loved it. Sadly, the park was still very much in the making, though they did have 2 big, beautiful 40 footers lined up. They have a lift dedicated to their park so you can get as many shots at that backside 3 that you want. Tuesday dumped 10 inches of pow on us to make wednesday morning amazing, even though i only had my park board with me i had a blast. I never waited in line for longer than 10 minutes for the lift and theres a little restaraunt called the Sunset Grill just off to the side of the main lift which has some pretty damn good food and the people who work there are awesome. There's a boardshop called Experience Snowboarding that i went into to have them de-tune my edges and give me a quick wax. The dude waxed it up for 10 bucks and didnt charge me for the de-tune, i just gave him a 20 and called it good. As i was walkin out he told me to come by the shop later and bring some beer and hang out, thats usually where all the riders hang out after work/riding.

Over all i really enjoyed it. It was a lot more friendly than the big resorts i've been to. Highly recommend.
peace homies, merry xmas
