I do squata too but unless there are 2 spotters I wont go heavy. Doing even 550-600 on the squat rack scares spotters away.... I only workout heavy on hybrid equipment these days.
People not racking their weight is a pet peeve of mine. I will go grab them and make them put shit away. Also, yes with proper form leg press is a good workout for quads, glutes and hams but you have to load it up if youhave strong legs. 10 - 45lb plates on each side plus 118 lb initial sled weight. Just racking and unravking the weights is a workout, lol.
The back tweek went away after a hot shower. I have been thrashing around powder this morning and my legs are jello now....

Who lifts/presses 1000 lbs. of anything?
Clearly, the machine takes most of the load.
I saw a woman pressing a fully loaded leg press the other day. Again, who can lift/press that much? (She then rested in between sets by surfing the web on her phone.)
And don't get me started on morons who load up the machine completely, do their sets, then walk away with the machine still fully loaded.
Argo, I assume you have back issues that prevent you from doing squats?

|Snow Hound||Gigantic beasts in the gym wrecking all the equipment... surely free weights make more sense at these superhuman poundages?|
