Bringing this thread back from the dead.
Heading up to Mammoth tomorrow. Waxed the SL-R and was putting the K2 Formula bindings back on Monday night when I noticed I was missing the same screw and nut assembly for my back foot. Must've lost it on my previous outing. Submitted the contact form to K2 that same night but haven't heard anything from them since. BA did remind me that they might be busy with SIA.
So last night went to Lowe's and bought a 1/4 x 1/2 carriage bolt, lock washer, and stop nut (with nylon to prevent loosening)for $0.30. Reattached the highback to the heelcup and it's snug so it shouldn't prematurely fall apart. Hopefully I hear back from K2 about getting the correct replacement parts.

Wow quick reply from K2.
They told me to send them my shipping info and they can get some hardware out to me. So I did. We'll wait and see how this turns out.

|MunkySpunk||Just make sure it's secure and check it often through the day. If your highback comes off in mid-flight and your foot slips out of the binding... your highback will be the least of your worries. You could be riding next season with a knee brace that costs more than your board.|

|MunkySpunk||For what it's worth, I broke my K2 Cinch last year (my fault, not K2's) and they sent out a replacement mega-fast. Try calling them on the phone, worked for me, and it was the height of the season. Great customer service.|

|Triple8Sol||It will move around and will suck. For a temporary fix, go to the hardware store and find something that will work. If you can't find what you need there, go ahead and turn in your man card at the door on your way out.|
