freshy About the lack of wrapped nose, I'm a fan of that. Makes it so much easier to fix yourself. I've heard bad stuff about the bio beans but on the other hand I don't think I have owned any board that didn't have a declamation at one time.

Anyway good review. I still think for my powder deck I have yet to purchase will be the Birdman.

farnsworth Just gotta say that's some sick pow. Bring on winter!

hktrdr Guys don't be silly about this. We all know that there are different kinds of powder boards.
Most decks with anything resembling a real tail generally require shifting of the weight back at slow speeds to get the tail to sink - at higher speeds the 'dynamic float' from the nose rocker normally kicks in and you should be able to ride the board more centered.
Obviously something like the Fish is a different story - given that it has almost no tail (but a huge nose), the 'back-end will tend to sink even at slow (or no) speed and the weight pretty much centered. But you are not laying down carves on groomers with a stubby tail like that...

Different decks for different purposes/styles.

Supra It doesn't matter that you're comparing it to a swallowtail. The point is, you have to lean back to keep the nose up.
I just mentioned the fish as a different powder board with which you don't have to lean back AT ALL!

Anyways, the fish is a quality ride and imo has too much float. I don't even own one anymore, so it's hard to judge my knowledge base from that.

Actually, show us a side profile of the board on a hard surface. I'd like to see the banana. I've been looking at the La Nina but wouldn't be interested if it had real banana. If it's just flat, might consider it.

koi Great review! Sucks that the board got damage so easy.

I think the vids were better testaments to Hokkaido than the board. I think nearly everyone was looking at the sweet pow...

ETM For starters I am comfortable discussing anything

You have to understand the angle my comparison comes from supra.
Im comparing it to another board the same length, with the same profile nose, but with a swallow tail and more camber under foot so it carves like its on train tracks.

Comparing the birdman to the fish is laughable and is testament that your knowledge base is made up of pretty tame powder boards.

Im not trying to shoot you down at all, but you are out of your depth here Im afraid.

Supra lol not trolling. Just found it odd that on a such a long board, you still have to lean back. Kind of defeats the purpose of such a long nose wouldn't you say?

but hey, disregard my post if you're not comfortable discussing your pow board.

As I said, compared to my swallowtail which has a nose rocker profile the same as the birdman, you have to put your weight back a bit more. You dont have to be too smart to figure that out.
Fish is a piece of shit compared to the birdman but nice troll supra
Get back in your box and let those who choose to look outside the box live in peace.

Supra if it's so good, why do you have to put your weight back?

on a fish you can ride with your weight centered in pow, plus it rides great on groomers too

ETM A pic of what makes this board so good. The nose rocker profile.
