|speedjason||soft boards bend more the faster you turn. to a point it wont hold the turn anymore it will start to wash out.|

|andrewdod||yes, but right now you i dont think you will really know the difference because you are a beginner. on Rome's flex scale of 1 to 10 that board is listed as a 2. As you progress depending on your riding style you may want something different. Right now i'd roll with it. Because you dont really know what your style is yet.|

|sdm74||Does that mean it will bend to easy for me?|

|andrewdod||yeah, thats a good size for you. like i said you may find that its to soft as you develop, but it will work for a year or so.|

what size is the board? and since youre still learning that board will do okay, but you are going to find it is very soft, and you may want to move up to something a little stiffer as you progress.
price wise i think you did well.

just bought a Rome tour for first board?
Just picked up a 2013 Rome tour for $200 new. This will be my first board, did I do good in choice for newbie and cost?
Will be looking for bindings for it now. I know I should have bought them first but thought that was good price and didn't want to miss out. I'm looking at used Burton lace up boot.
I am 6'1" 230 lbs just trying to put something together to learn to ride with my 5 year old daughter. Figure it was cheaper then renting in long run and we went last week and we both are hooked.
Thanks for any info
