Don't forget if you get hurt out there Sunshine will rescue you but you will get a nasty bill at the end of it.

There is a gate almost straight ahead from the top of the lift. It goes to Wawa ridge. A nice run but you really need avi gear. Unless you know your stuff I would steer clear of this.
I don't know if it's different between Alberta and BC but I've been told my a few instructors in whistler that people who are rescued virtually never get charged for it? It's looks bad when people don't call for help because they can't afford it and end of perishing because they made they're decision to call for help too late.

I thought that was the "back door". I was looking for the "side door"

Having an accident and getting hurt out there is maybe your best case scenario. Especially if you do not have training and avalanche gear. More likely is that you would be recovering a body and prepping for a funeral. Maybe for your entire party. A slide will kill one or one thousand in one event. Numbers do not matter and it is deadly serious. Especially around Sunshine where you are dealing with a far more sketch snow pack than say around Whistler.

seriouscat Is there a rescue fee? I thought the park pass covers all rescue within the national park.

I'm taking an intermediate rider up the Southside Chute hike on Friday as he wants to get into some BC this spring but doesn't have much experience. If the snow is fucked in there I'll have to rethink that plan.
wildside/farside tracked out and getting crusty from all the warm weather. It was fantastic last weds/thurs and over the weekend. Doesn't take very long for the sun to turn it into crap though. Haven't hiked the walk up in awhile though might be better up there. Freefall was still good monday, terrible today.

Visibility was crappy this afternoon we skipped WW and the dive. Besides some spots in standish most of the runs we did were crappy.

Don't go to wildside/farside. That was horrible.
