|ksup3erb||Yeah, the Custom is a good inexpensive binding but the highback is really high. You might have some issues matching that up with a women's/smaller boot. Anatomy-thing, you know. Highbacks on women specific bindings are generally lower.|

|caribchakita||I was offered a deal on Burton Custom bindings for 84.00, 2013. Any good for a beginner on a 2013 144 Feather (was quoted 298.00)?|

If you are buying this years feather you need EST or Reflex bindings to fit the channel in the board.
If you are buying last years or earlier there's no channel so you need non est bindings, either reflex or traditional.

I am new to the sport and learning, reading and trying to understand the many facets of this sport. I have been windsurfing since 97, so understand the many variables. I admit, I am overwhelmed. I am looking at at 144 Burton Feather Board and Burton Mint boots. I need bindings. Now, I am completely lost.
I want easy on easy off and will use the board and binding probably 2-3 seasons.
