readimag Yeah just get a board that fits him and graphics he can stand as I am sure he will have a new one within a year. Also getting a cheap board now you can also help him out and get him some lessons and be the best bro ever. I give my brother all my decks that I don’t sell or he really likes.

john doe Nothing wrong with a woman's board. Hit up ebay first though and see if you can find a used board that someone else grew out of.

There are so many new old stock kid boards, I would not buy him a womens board.
Not sure what your budget, but a nice kid board can be had for about $100 just look for clearance boards online (bindings extra of course, but kid bindings clearance run around $50-90.

Kids Snowboard

Hello,
I am looking to buy my little brother his first snowboard and with that not looking to spend to much.

He is about 4' 10" 100lbs and a beginner
would it be ok to get him a "women's" board if it is the right size for him?
