Varza Um, I thought the gummi stone was for polishing off the edges after sharpening them?

Top sheet chips are from people running their boards or skis into your board. There's no stopping them from happening and I don't worry about it unless I can see wood sticking out :P

linvillegorge Shit happens. Post a pic. Sounds like just cosmetic damage. My bet is a ding in the lift line caused it.

Top of board damage!? What to do?

I got a K2 subculture, been doing groomers.

Noticed today that the top of my board, close to the tips where my cambered edges are, there's like a chip from the top, like a piece of ice just sliced into it.
Nothing threatening te integrity of the board. Looks like a peel/chip.

My question is : is this what a gummy stone is for?
And secondly, does the top of the board even matter for maintenance ?
