Careful with the comment about not able to carve switch.
There are ALOT of members on here who are experienced riders and can't ride switch.
(For the record, I'm not one of them.)

is it possible this is his way into your world. He may be a shy guy that enjoys your time as neighbors and is trying to develop a Bro-Friendship ( nothing weird) hang out, drink beer, occasional BBW's for beer and watch football, work on cars. You see my point.
I don't know enough about either of you to offer more, but could this be the case.
Also you see this "one up" type personality all the time. Work, friends, acquaintances. This could just be the type of person he is.
I like other guys points especially me meeting other younger park riding guys from the forum or just seeing them around the hill all the time and getting to know them. I try to be exact with my skill. So if we take some laps together he steers towards features I can ride or I take him on features he knows I can ride and not be bored as they know my limitations.
Might be time to just steer away from this guy?
How is he on a wakeboard? that should have given some insight to his snowboarding ability. Never wake boarded but I've always been told they are very similar.

Life is full of talking bullshit artists. I don't get it either.
I prefer to undersell and deliver higher.
I know a guy who hasn't skied in like 10 years and last time I talked to him about it he was like "yea I do 720 helixes on my skis, no big deal..." What drives people to say such retarded shit?
Here's an example of what you may hear me say,
"I like to go snowboarding, durrrrrr fun!"

has this happened to you
kind of curious what others think of this...
i have a kind of friend that lives 3 doors down. he wakeboards with us maybe 2 or 3 times a season. (we go a lot more often).
while last couple months he has been saying he wants to go jibbing with me, and he brags about all the top shelf ski areas he has been to and the huge jumps, etc.
so he finally goes with me yesterday. turns out he is scared to hit any boxes, rails or jumps. not that i am great. i am just a middle aged guy, but do at least hit a little bit of all 3. he gets totally embarrassed saying he does not want to get hurt, and he is not trying to be park hero. is it even possible he would not know what "jibbing means"?
i just don't understand why a person would totally say he can do stuff if they can't. wouldn't you kind of underplay rather than overplay your ability?
i don't get it. i did not even know what to say. we just carved around and he could not even carve switch.
i guess he probably will never ask to go with me again. but don't even know how to deal with him.
how about sharing your weird stories like this with your advice? thanks.
