What a difference between the two boards. The Rome is so much more responsive edge to edge, faster, holds an edge so much better and it's surprisingly stiffer which I wasn't expecting. I'd say the only thing I miss from my old board is the softer flex. Totally happy with this new purchase and for $160 it can't be beat. Also, my Flow Flite bindings worked just fine with this new setup.

Thanks for your input!
Glad it worked out!

At that price for that profile, it's a great value. It's a board that does everything pretty well, but it does have limitations. That's all I mean.
Understood. Let you know how I make out.

I replaced this board with a Proto, which is better in almost every way. But a Proto costs a lot more.

highiso I'm getting the 161. I should've mentioned I'm 6'0" 205 lbs.

Although Rome says it's a medium flex board it really is pretty soft (especially torsionally) given the light weight. I found it to be surfy and playful. Hitting a side stash or two. It's not for railing hard carves or bombing or huge drops/jumps. If you use it for what it's good for you'll have a good time.
