Wrathfull - great suggestions. May have to get a Velcro strap.
Speed - it sure looks to me like the little red string is going into the teeth/holders right. But who knows. There are teeth/holders for the lower half of the boot and they sure hold me in place though.

under normal use boots that new should not loosen on their own.
are the laces grabbing the teeth properly?

|wrathfuldeity||Assuming its the speed lace type with a slider thingy....loose the slider thingy and you can just tie the speed lace like a regular bow knot at the top. You could also get a Velcro strap and wrap it around at the top of the cuff...kind of like a power wrap strap|

Top of boots getting loose
Been dealing with this problem for a bit and am happy to continue to deal if there's no solution....
Is it normal that if I tighten my boots at the top of the mountain that they'll be loose by the time I get even halfway down? I love the responsiveness I get with tight boots, but it gets so washy so fast.
I have 2013(14?) salomon malamutes size 12.5 for what it's worth. Here's a couple pics of the top clasping mechanisms.
Thanks for the input in advance!
