Kirkwood on the last weekend

This is from Kirkwood on the last weekend of the season. I *think they had 27 inches of snow on Friday night (these pictures were taken on Saturday).

It was actually a good powder morning. I know I was surprised.

Varza We've been having one of the worst seasons ever in Tahoe. Everyone is hoping for a "miracle March" to save us now, but it looks like the ridge might be coming back, at least for a while in the first week of March, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

It's also been way too warm all season, so expect to be riding slush the week of the 17th. My last planned trip is March 22-23. Slush can be interesting to ride too :P

Late season condition (Tahoe, Mammoth, Salt Lake)

Trying to decide where to go the week of March 17th out of Mammoth, Lake Tahoe, or Salt Lake. We will be driving out of Los Angeles so we are only considering these 3 areas.

We are concerned about the condition at all 3 in late March. It looks like Tahoe and Mammoth have more average March snowfall than any Salt Lake Resort. However, from what I have read it looks like conditions in Tahoe and Mammoth have been pretty poor this season so far.

We are very interested in nightlife. I know for this South Lake Tahoe would be the best for nightlife, but we are willing to sacrifice nightlife for snow conditions.
