|BurtonAvenger||There's something like 40k of people here for Spring Break. Doesn't matter where you go there will be people, it's just about making the right choices to get around the mountain at this point.|

|buffrider||lol good stuff, thanks guys. this is my first time in colorado so i'm just not sure what to expect. usually we go to utah where it's pretty easy to avoid crowds by going to brighton/solitude/pow mow on weekends. i feel like going to breck during spring break is akin to going to pcmr during whatever film festival they have, probably not the best planning job on my part but oh well, i'll just get up early and try to get my riding in before the crowds get too bad.|

|BurtonAvenger||Spring Break started last week it's total chaos up here. People smoking weed everywhere, beer bottles strewn about town. The police force can't deal with the partiers and the mountain has resorted to tazering people to keep them in check. Hide your kids, hide your wives, everyone is getting raped.|

The whole month of March is spring break. It has been a long time since I have been in college. Back in the day, a majority of the spring breakers in Colorado went elsewhere for their spring break. Generally warmer climates.
Don't worry though. There will be plenty of people from every other trip on their ski area spring break. You are right in the middle of it. There is no escape. Mid week will be better than weekends...

breck march 23 - 29
hey guys, long time lurker here, quick question: i'm heading out to breck from march 23-29, staying right in town on Main St. i just did some searching and found out that UC Boulder spring break is that same week. does that pretty much guarantee that the place will be packed? if so, any recommendations on what we can do to get away from the crowds? we won't have a car so we will be limited to public transportation. any insight will be appreciated, thanks.
