They ran out of 15s ages ago and there won't be any for sometime. Given that it's either buy 16s or none at all. I went with those.

P.s I was also told to have slightly larger boots than my shoe size.
well what you were told were wrong. you actually want half size smaller than your regular shoes. you want a snug fit with toes just barely touching the boot.

Large snowboard newb needs some help/advice

Hello,

I am a complete newb when it comes to snowboarding. I have been to a dry slope before but not out on proper slopes. I am heading out to resort/festival in Austria in 4 weeks and am still without board/bindings (long story)

I am 6 feet 3 and I weigh about 222lbs or 101 kilos. I also have size 15 feet. The boots I have arriving are a pair of Ride Bigfoot mens in a 16 (UK 16). I ordered these online and were only available in a 16/17. I searched everywhere else for shoes in this size and wasn't able to get anything so I had to go for these.

I have been looking all over the internet looking for potential equipment but I am unable to locate anything specific.

Could anyone here offer me some advice on what size board would be good and moreso if an x-large binding would cover the boots I have. I was told I might need a riser.

hoping someone here can help me.

Many thanks
Pete

P.s Sorry if this has been posted in the wrong section.
