rpadc I didn't take the board out to CO. I figured if I'm going to be riding real mountains for the first time, I might as well demo some current stuff.

This board is also smallish for my weight, so I'd definitely sink it in pow. But I took it out on a hard pack and ice day with a homie who is more advanced than me and I didn't get completely embarrassed so I have love for this board.

triumph.man keep on shreddin'!!

How did the board do on pow? I remember 15+ yrs back, we got dumped w/ 18+ inches of snow here in NJ, and took the board out. Struggled as the board just sunk into the deep snow.

rpadc Still shredding on this karma board.

Getting my carving skills together halfway through my second full season. Can now spend a full day on challenging blues.

After a riding pow on my first trip to Colorado and making a couple black runs, I'm now looking for a second board because I'm progressing, but I won't be letting go of the board that got me going.

triumph.man rpadc glad to hear that you got to ride the board at least once before the end of the season out here on the east, and as wrathful said, learning to ride on the stiff camber, you will be one heck of a carver down the road. making one last trip up to stratton tomorrow myself, (thought forecast calls for rain) but gonna make the best of it.

probably won't hear from me till the end of this year, so talk to you all then!

CassMT we are trying to squeeze the rest of the season on a 146, but since about Christmas he's been having one of those major growth spurts (15 in May) so, 155 may be a bit big, but by next season who knows. He demoed a 150 Notice board a few weeks ago in big pow and his riding that day was his best ever...

1st ride report

Just posting a followup because I finally had a chance to ride my pay it forward board.

I was amped because I found some good fitting, affordable boots. Took the board along to make sure they were compatible with the bindings. Then we got some more snow after I thought the season was over so I had to make another trip.

The old Salomon handled very well. I rode blue trails consistently for the first time, and didn't crash even though the conditions were slush and ice. I only caught an edge once at the end of a run because I was trying to ride switch. Ate it pretty hard too but only injured my pride.

Thanks again, triumph.man!
