New Board help, is this normal??
I'm pretty new to snowboarding so excuse me if this is a dumb question. I just ordered and received a new 2014 Burton Descendant. The thing that I noticed was on all my friends boards the metal rails around the edges are one continuous piece. The rail on my new board meets at the tip with a tiny gap that is filled with what looks to be some clear filler. Are all boards supposed to have rails that are one continuous piece? My board came wrapped in plastic, looks brand new and never ridden, but I just happened to notice this difference with other Burton boards I've seen. I can't imagine it was repaired because it's supposed to be brand new, was wrapped as if new and doesn't look like it was ever used. Thank you for your answers.
