Sizing for Echelon Killbox

I actually just put in an order for an Echelon Killbox, but i would like to get some confirmation on sizing, particularly from those who have ridden on one.

I am 5'7", size 9 boots and 155lb, probably a good 10lb more with all the snow gear on. Currently riding a K2 parkstar in 152, and the Echelon guys recommended the Killbox in 149 due to the size down design etc

Just looking at the specs the 149 is a good 1cm wider at the nose and waist compared to my Parkstar. While i dont doubt i will be able to ride it (and have fun) regardless, should i be looking even smaller - i.e. the 144? Feels weird to be ordering the second largest size, since i am far from big myself.. And I saw one sour grapes review saying the board was way too wide and hard to turn.
