Tatanka Head I should have been clearer in my post, If I wore a 14 I would try Rides in a 13. 14.5 might be a different story, but it is still worth a shot. This is also a raw fit, no added support or adjustments in the boots. If you have a decent boot fitter he might be able to make magic happen. And yes, Insanos are super stiff, but comfortable.

Awesome man, going to try to find a mid summer Insano deal...

Find some Imperials

Ouch, bad time of year for us big footers searching for boots. The small handful of decently stiff boots manufactured every year gets sold out right away..

My left foot is 14 1/2 and my right is 14 which sucks cuz I'm goofy footed and my driving boot always slops out really bad.

Vans are, to my knowledge, really the only company who gives a shit about us and supports us across the entire line, but they don't bother with footprint reduction.

Unfortunately, Burton comes in second. I think the Imp is the stiffest big boot Burton offers, but I'm sure they are long gone. They make a shitload of Motos in 14, but they are soft and like buckets. If you are desperate you can find these for cheap. You also might be able to find some Rulers which are a step up.

I got lucky and found a pair of Imperials a couple months ago and they are absolutely wonderful. They're amazingly contoured and have a shell connected liner harness.

Ride has good footprint reduction but I don't think they make the Insano or Trident in 14. I've been thinking about trying to downsize to try these out next year as they look awesome...

Your best bet is to wait for the 2015 stuff to come out and jump right on it or keep an eye on geartrade or whatever to see if anyone from backcountry returned anything...

Otherwise, yeah, just get the Ambush if you think you'll like them...

Good luck dood...

Tatanka Head What was your old pair? What did you like and what didn't you like about them? How much do you weigh?

I wear a US13, but in my Ride Insanos I wear a US12. They are stiff, but I'm a bigger guy and weigh in at around 105. Ride boots have great footprint reduction. With that said, I enjoy these boots because I also like a good stiff boot, and when this pair packs out it won't turn to mush.

Size 14 Boots

My first pair of Boots are falling apart and I need a new pair. I have size 14 feet so of course my choices are limited. Anyone have any advice on a pair I should look at?

I would describe myself as an Intermediate to Advance Rider. Most of my riding is All-Mountain, love powder(who doesnt, lol), rarely go into the park and if I do its only for a few jumps, no backcountry and I am starting to do more tree runs.

I've done some research and am looking at the Burton Ambush but am wide open for suggestions.

TIA.
