you could actually go 160, regardless of weight.

All my boards I am pretty much at the end of the spectrum or way over and it rides fine. I'm 210-215 lbs and ride these boards

k2 WWW 154 max rate at 200lbs
gnu kass 155 max rate at 210+
gnu billy goat 159 at 230 (only one i'm within range)
burton fish 156 max rate i think 170

You don't have to go big b/c of weight at all, the effective edge is pretty long on that too.

I would look into something with edge tech like magne traction for the ice.
Agreed on weight. If your heavy for the size and your fine i should be fine being a little lighter with a larger size.

No problems here throwing the board around, but with SIZE 14 boots, i very frequently get into trouble on the steeps when i need to turn hard. My toes and heels are way out over the board and on more than a few occasions my toe drag lifts the edge off the snow and i fall on my knees. Ouch.

Honestly i did a snowboard calculator and thats that it came up with. Ive ridden 164 before and had no issues other than the toe heel drag. They actually had thw 160 in wide but i plan on adding a few pounds lifting and such.

Thanks for the replies! Ill poat a pic once i get it in! Hopefully i dig this new rocker flat rocker shape over my old camber profile.

2014 K2 raygun

Just ordered a 2014 kw raygun in 164 W.

Im 6'3 190 lbs with size 14 boots.

My old board is a nitro destroyer seth neary signature @ 159. Im super excited because i used to wipe hard due to excessive toe/heel drag on icy conditions and im hoping the long wider board will fix that.

Im hoping this board lives up to the hype, i like to ride fast, and hit trail jumps if i see them.

Anyone care to chime in on the selection?

Btw i got this board for a really good deal as well, thats why i couldn't pass it up. Plus we still have lots of snow!
