Brewtown Hey Francium did you get any time on your mountain division last season? Came across this thread searching for reviews and wanted to see if you could share your thoughts on the board.

Clevocapri I have a 2015 Yes PYL. I haven't used it in powder yet but have in icy to mushy snow on Ozy snow fields.

I was impressed. Its now my favourite board!

Nope. Especially considering a lot of the lines he does kill boards. Just Like Xavier, one and done.

While quality wood can have an effect on how a snowboard rides, it's not as crucial as precise manufacturing and the compsoties quality that go into it. I used to make Guldemonds Rockstars and the Volcom boards. Including the Volcoms under their riders feet. Standard woods and glass. Occasionally a specific carbon layup, but nothing more than that.

If that dude is making money producing low-tech, premium ingredient snowboards then good for him. But there is a very good reason snowboards are made out of accesible woods like poplar and aspen.

francium I see what your saying but I don't go out looking to wreak my boards. However a couple of years back first time out on a new board was just riding to the side a groomer in the fresh snow hit a rock and stuck a 10 inch gouge down the base of the board to the core. Now I was slightly sad about this but if I'd just spent nearly a 1000 quid on a board I'd of spent the rest of the week in the corner crying.
