its all good. I'm playing that I'm old.
What aged me was mortgage, car payments, running a business, kiddies. Thats getting tiring! So boarding is gonna be my escape! my challenge to push myself to conquer new territory!
Think I mentioned earlier that I got carded the day before my 39th Im having a ball!

Trust me, when it's -5 in a white out dumping on the hill nobody cares.
At the end of a long powder day at the bar everyone is high fiving from age 22 to 72.
Age is irrelevant as we're all sliding down the hill on pieces of wood.
As soon as you start calling yourself "old" - you're old. Don't do it.
With proper fitness and nutrition at 39 you should be riding for another 20 years.

Not that this has a thing to do with the subject at hand, but I got a laugh out of guys in their 40s and 50s referring to themselves as "old"! Shoot guys, I am nearly 68-now that's old. Getting back to the snowboard this season after mostly skiing (snowboarding maybe 2-3 times a year) for the past several seasons. Still riding the Nitro Pantera 157 (traditional cambered board) with Ride bindings. I did just get some new boots though.
You youngsters are NOT old!

Once again, thanks all. Read through the links posted (Ippys was a great read in particular) Will likely use tactics.com in the future (the sales tax of 0 is a nice draw)
Looking forward to some great powder this year!
Having been a moderator on a forum for 10 years, I know how nutty things can get.
Great vibe here. Much appreciated, guys.

|tonicusa||It's nice to see a thread here with every single post being knowledgable, well informed, and outgoing. There's clearly a good core of riders here now. I'll keep that in mind when the kooks come out of the woodwork in three months. LOL|

Just wanted to thank you all for the advice. I ended up with an attack banana and Burton bindings which only came out to about $10 more having comparison-shopped online.
In my research, I did happen upon that website tactics.com which looked really inviting with free shipping and no sales tax. I'll definitely have to keep them in mind for future reference

|dieseld||I got the boots from them last year. I may offer the online price and see what they counter?|
