Already prior to the trip I had searched all online shops in vain for Deeluxe XV or 32 JJ boots in my size (mono 25) with the idea to replace my ol' ones... Evo, REI, Backcountry, ... Women's boots are too soft. No decent sole for crampons.
This wont help you now but Evo has some..... mens size 7 should be mondo 25... On sale for $251 USD

neni Thanks guys. I'll give it a try. Can't get worse at this point. Lol, the state of those boots/liners/soles is pathertic. Laces stopper don't hold anymore, my heels slip several inches, they leak, I've wet feet every day, toes crammed, nerves itch... lol, it's really time I let 'em go and buy new ones.

BurtonAvenger So you can remold them, but if they shrank that much you might be fucked. So try to heat them and see if they go back, if that doesn't work, time to play slice and dice and cut them till they can expand. I don't recommend this though.

They were at very hot temps all night... liner shrunk by ~2 sizes. Before, they were too big. Now? Squeezing tight. Like climbing shoes. Oh dear... my toes have a hard time on this trip...

Also one custom sole has melted. Bumps n waves. Of course, it's the one of the worse foot. Awesome. Back to footpain.

Lessons learned...

Edit: @Wiredsport, @BurtonAvenger: any quick n dirty fix I could do to these PF liners (Deeluxe)? They'll go into the trash at the end of the trip anyway, but it would be nice to have a little less pain till the end of the week. I have a hair dryer or a microwave as heat source. (I'm in AK ATM. A store ot boot fitter is out of reach by hours of flight.) I've already cut away the elastic over the arch to reduce the tension there, but the general shrinkage of length I dunno how to improve.
@neni I'd take out the liners out of the shell, put the liners on and then sit by the lodge fire and toast the tootisies. With the theory of the "golden marshmellow", i.e., as they warm up, they will soften up and mold to your feet. However the secret of the golden marshmellow...is attention at all times...no beers until the marshmellow is golden. To which was the mistake in PNW...beer goggles.

There might not be anything you can do if they heated so much that they actually shrunk!! But if you are going to take a chance to reheat & stretch them out? I would definitely avoid the micro wave. IMO,.. it would be Far too easy to WAAAYYY over cook them. And If you actually end up melting any part of the liners? You could be done altogether!

As a loooong time foot pain sufferer(errer?) Might just be best to "soldier through" for the remainder!

(…Having said that? I hope someone does chime in with a fix for you!! Foot pain BLOWS!!!)

Oh no! That absolutely sucks! Rent some boots? Do whatever you have to do to be pain free!
