With boots it's not about the price as much as it's about how they fit. If those were the one's that are comfortable on your feet than that's what i'd get.
In terms of boards yes you will need a wide board with 12/13 feet. Boards I'd look at for you are the Rome Manual and Flag. I also can recomend the Ride Decade wide. Look for last years on these too and you should be able to get away with a nice board for a good deal.

hey im looking to buy myself my first board. I've been boarding enough to be able to carve and handle intermediate alright and i'm starting to move into the park a bit. I want to get an all-mountain type board as i'll probably be doing 50/50 mountain runs/ park.
I weigh 160lbs and i'm 6' tall. i went to a local store to try on different boots and i liked the burton moto's (size 13 but a 12.5 might be better i'll have to make sure). the only downside is that they were 200$ and i think that place is a bit overpriced but is that a decent price for beginner boots or not? anyways, i was looking for suggestions on bindings that go well with the moto's (or any other good beginner boots you can recommend?) and a board also. I assume i'll need a wide one right? and i dont know much about the size but from my research would a 159ish one be good? any input is much appreciated, thanks
ps. the money isnt a huge deal but id like to keep it around $600-650. $700 tops but i dont really want to spend that much on my first set up. oh and i have all the rest of the gear i'll need (goggles jackets pants) as i ski a lot also
