oliveryochest Thanks guys. The reason why i was asking because the lib tech site says a 8.5 boot is ok and wanted to confirm.
I board backcountry and powder and have only boarded on 157 boards or more.

Extremo Ya I'd say it's too wide. That would be like someone with a size 10 riding a 27cm waist. A 25.8 is suited better for a size ll-11.5 boot, which I believe Travis Rice is. With an 8.5 it would take way to much effort to initiate each turn. A lot of turns means A LOT of effort.

true but it will be a little harder to initiate turns with the amount of space between the binding toe/heel and sidewall. kinda like two kids sitting in the middle of a teeter totter as opposed to on the ends. its not a serious issue but theres definitely a better fit out there.

ready2shred most likely yes. what size are your bindings and whats your prefered stance degrees? factor that in too. im a size 11.5 boot with large bindings, the waist width of my board is 25.1 and theres about half a cm from the heel/toe to the board edge. my stance is wide and duck footed tho. how much do you weight and are you sure about a 157?

Waist width too big for my 8.5 boot?

Hi all

I am looking at the T.Rice 157 C2BTX board. The waist width is 25.8. I wear a size 8.5 boot.
Is the waist width too big for my 2009 8.5 Burton Ion Boots?

Thank you in advance for all your help
