jyuen blue for the cheap 5x7 and the fenced off park with it's own lift. this makes a huge difference as first timers don't venture into the park, destroy jumps and injure themselves. i've never seen a line up for the lifts at the park, which is where I usually go. the lines at all the other lifts are just way too long.

I like mslm too but I can never wake up early enough to go there...

Sudden_Death For Ontario, I like Calabogie. Same vert as Blue, no ridiculous crowds.

Pretty much the only fault was the sole chair lift breaking down for about 1.5 hours in the morning, but they at least stayed open longer than planned. Of course, the delay was long enough that a lot of people did the death march and hiked up the run once... That was tiring...

Was really interesting to see so many people riding in bikinis, shorts, yoga pants, tshirts, etc., especially in Ontario! Was well worth the drive and then $29 lift ticket. I can only hope the runs can be salvaged for anyone going the rest of the weekend.
That sounds sick! You don't have any pictures by any chance, do you? Im not going up today so I think my season is over ah well can't wait for next year.

Blue is pretty much the last Ontario resort open and have stated they will be open through the 5th. Hours are changing though and they will run from 7:30 AM to 3 PM to try and get the best parts of the day (the still cold/cool mornings), and lift tickets are down to $29.

Snowpants and a few light layers in the morning, then switching to a t-shirt or windbreaker in the afternoon!

The 5x7 is a damn good deal. Just go twice during the week (Family Day, something over March Break, or ditch a day of work ), and one night session and it's pretty much paid for (assuming you bought it at the early bird price). Still hate that drive though...

What would be really great is if the main resorts in the area all got together for a joint pass. Will never happen since they're al owned by different resort operators, but a man can dream (and that's a sad dream... a better dream would be to have Alberta/BC or hell, even Quebec sized mountains).

Lapse in concentration at the end of a run/tired legs. Happens to us all. And yes, it's always funny to watch when it's not you.

I went out to Tremblant last weekend thinking that would be my last day for the season, but I didn't have a good day up there, so the itch for one more good day riding is still there. Might go to Blue on Sunday, just hope the weather holds and some decent snow remains.

I was there this past Saturday and it was icy as hell until about noon before it started to soften up. I was talking to someone who had been there since Thursday and he said the weather had been the best up until Saturday when it got cold out but the snow had been slushy until then so it turned to ice over night.

My friend kept falling and complaining...lamest part was he only would fall at the very bottom of the hill, not gonna lie I had a few good laughs.

Sadly I won't be snowboarding until next season so hope you have a good time there.
