Snowfox I think it's effectiveness is probably fully based on how willing you are or how much you want to get high. There's the studies about people getting drunk off of non-alcoholic drinks, I feel this might be something similar

Definitely won't argue that music can create an emotional response though. People have certain pump up songs to get them in the mindset for a game, and I'm sure we've all had that one song that reminded us of a girl or some sad event in the past and felt a surprisingly strong emotion.

lisevolution Lol, when I saw I-dosing I was totally thinking more about taking acid hits directly into your eye. Shows the generational gap there and I now definitely feel older than I am.

NYinfamous2k2 i-dosing is not music it just beeps and tones, and is total bullshit. I have heard these things before and trust me they do absolutely nothing. not cuz I was looking to get "high" but because I was curious what these young fools are into nowadays and, well basically I am glad I grew up in the time period I did. haha

Muki I was just about to point out... Music easily changes my mood, like Snowolf said..I tend in some ways to get an emotional reaction.

But to the point where I feel like I'm

Exactly, I listen to music that is lyrically aggressive, or very fast tempo and it makes me want to ride harder (on the OP's Mom). Thinking that music is going to make you better at sports is near on ridiculous. It may pump you up to play harder, but that is all. And the play harder pumped up mentality can be gained other ways besides music. Bottom line, you're not going to magically play/ride better than what you are already capable of.

NWBoarder Oh wow, kids these days. I read the article and that's all I can come up with for a response. I think it only works for kids. No adult that I could think of would think you can get "high" from listening to some music. At least not in the sense that the kids in the article are claiming. Kids minds are more easily persuaded to believe things whether they are true or not though, which is why I can see something like this "working" for kids. Wrathful, I highly doubt that there is some "magic music" that can make you better at sports.

i-dosing while snowboarding

Just wondering if anybody has done it and if there are any tracks that help with sports performance. I have my that biaural beats have been around a long time...perhaps another gateway drug...or listening to "stairway to heaven backwards. But its probably more of an attentional processing or hypnotic susceptibility thing.
