I've recently been nagging the Seymour staff via email about their tendency to build only big jumps and leave beginners out in the cold (so to speak). Well, I guess they actually listened. On Sunday I discovered a 10-foot step-down at the end of Mushroom Park. Even better, just past the bottom of the landing area there's a less-than-10-foot step-over. Spent most of the day hitting those two jumps.
for the Seymour park crew!

|legallyillegal||6-person family pass at Seymour is cheaper than a single pass at Cypress.|

I get a family season pass at Seymour. The great thing about Seymour vs Grouse is that you can walk to and from your vehicle any time (no gondola). Spare clothes, lunch, second board, tools, etc are all available.
And while Grouse and Seymour family passes are reasonably close in price (although the scheduling's different for buying them) the pricing at Cypress is ludicrous. They aren't *that* much better!

i bought Y2Play family pass for grouse in febuary for 850. tax included. plus i used it to board a few times in march and april near the last day of season. good value.
grouse- fast lift but crowded with tourists usually
seymour- old school vibe, winter playground, slow lifts
cypress- best but a bit longer drive to get there

Seymour has posted their season ticket prices for the 2010/11 season. Little earlier than last year. Unbelievable how much of a discount they give for early purchase (60%). Works for me.
