BRsnow go to a shop and try the boots on...if you go to the general section they have a post stuck on top that goes over buying boots. it is the most important part of the equation...Also weight is what matters when buying a board...PM snowwolf...he is a mod on here and a great source of info...

Minger Now I feel dumb for not realizing it was a joke.

Herees what I'm thinking:
Forum board (its unused, probably an older Grudge model, as it still has the I-Lock system): $150 or so
Burton Missions: $109 from'm diggin the color of the green cartels, but valuesports only has them in small...
Boots: ??

BRsnow His post is a joke, making fun of newbies that buy a expensive stuff...but skimp on boots...Boots are most important, so spend your money there...other than that get a board and bindings that fit and you are good to go. In theory you could get it done for 350...but I would spend about half of that on boots...

Minger Just out of curiosity, how much did you spend total for boots/bindings/board? I'm buying gear, and my price point is ~350 or so at most...but if you're saying its expensive, I want to know how much

Newbie snowboarder

So hey guys I have never boarded before, but next weekend my family is going up to canada (don't ask me why) to some resort called
whistle black kome?? I've never heard of it but i guess its decent. anyways I have decided to purchase a snowboard. I bought a burton vapor and burton co2 bindings. I'm guessing those are good because wow they were expensive. But the guy at the shop said they were pretty entry level stuff and they would make it easy for me to learn on. I did save on my apparel because I found my dads ski suit. Its awesome and since it all one piece i wont get snow in my jacket when I fall which is good. I also picked up 5150 2008 boots which they guy at dicks said were great. so yea what do you guys think about my setup, Is there anything else I will need? If i could get a quick response that would be great because if i have to order something it will have to be quick.

cheers, newbie
