|NWBoarder||So on Wednesday this last week (11/10/10), I took out the Signal and the Flite's to ride some fresh pow on Rainier. This time I got in bigger lines and bigger drops and bigger jumps. The Union Flite bindings handled all of it like pro! The EVA cushioned heel is super cushy for even the hardest of landings. I'm pretty sure you could land on ice and it would still feel soft under your feet with these bindings. As for how well they held up for the pow shredding, they worked well. I say that because I forgot (d'oh) to adjust my highback into the forward lean setting so I rode down with absolutely zero lean which makes you feel the softness of the binding more when slashing through the pow. I'm confident though that if I had adjusted the forward lean, the binding would have been absolutely solid on the ride down. So there's my update to my mini review. These bindings will handle whatever you throw at them. Period. And no, I didn't ride any groomers, but the skin track was pretty much the same as a groomer on the way down.|

With the Cartels the binding was direct on the board with no gasket or heel cushion. With the flites, the front of the binding is direct to the board, but the heel is shock absorbing eva cushioning straight to the board. Then there is a nice full footbed to cushion your whole foot. I took some decent drops yesterday, and they are forgiving and shock absorbing. So far it's all been good, but there were a few things that I am still a little unsure of.
I'm not going to call them problems, because I think they are all fixable. That being said, my boots are a tight fit in the binding, but I have a size 13 and they are only rated for up to a 14 so I kind of expected that. The right toecap doesn't fit the same way as the left one does. The left is super comfy and sits nicely, but the right has a pressure point and doesn't sit as nicely on the boot. It's still snug, it just doesn't sit quite right. That's really the only problems I have with these bindings so far, and like I said, I think they can all be fixed. On that note, on to adjustability.
I'm pretty positive that I can fix my minor issues because these bindings can be adjusted six ways from Sunday. These things are crazy adjustable. It's all fairly simple as well. The only tool you need is a Phillips screwdriver. In fact, I think I'll go find my Phillips and get on to making that right foot binding fit like it should. Guess my mini review turned out to be not-so-mini.
I'll update this a little more once I get to put some bigger lines down with them.

|Triple8Sol||Hopefully we can swap setups for a couple runs I've been wanting to try out the Camrock style on Signal/YES/Jones so bad...|

@triple8sol It's a 157, you'll get to check it out for sure.
@msh I'm not sure on the exact weight and I don't have a scale to weigh it, but I can say that it's super lite, definitely under 10lbs. When I had it strapped in my pack and on my back, I could barely even feel the added weight.
