wetoddid If you are looking for passive noise reduction, I have had great success with Comply NR-10 earbuds (more like ear plugs). They are excellent for cancelling out wind. I actually wear them instead of my Bose QC15s. They are only 40 bucks doing a search. Don't bother with the NR-10i, too much money for not a lot more. I've used them to 55mph on a motorcycle and still enjoyed it.

Puggy For those audiophiles out there look for some of the upper end senheiser earbuds or JVC, I just bought a pair of AKG K701 reference headphones I wish I could take on the slopes with me but I don't want to risk breaking em.

NYCboarder I wear a pair of sony ear buds. I picked up on sale for like 20 bucks. I like them bc they have several rubber earbuds you can chabge to fit your ear size. I also chose buds bc I wear a helmet. I also wear an under armour head facemask thing which helps hold them in my ears. Hope that helped

agoodwin727 I use Klipsch S4's - in ear buds that are easily my favorite ever. Very comfortable, great sound isolation. Just my 2 cents - they don't stay in well unless I wrap them around my ear though.

Karaca86 My boardshop gave me this helmet for free. Not having buds in your ears makes all the difference. Having a helmet with tunes is like investing in a surround system for your head.
CAPIX PAT MILBERY SKULLCANDY AUDIO HELMET - BLACK

If your against the helmet then I'd recommend the skullcandy titans. They come with sound contol right on the cord so you dont have to reach into your jacket to stop your music. Always a bonus. Skullcandy TiTan headphones - In-ear ear-bud, Binaural - Copper

HoboMaster Safety, what's that? I'm always guilty of blasting my music, helps me ride. Listening to it half-mast just doesn't do anything for me.

This is why I just use the ones in my hat. They don't sound great, but they don't fit tight to my head, so if I have my music low enough I can still hear what's going on around me. Makes me feel much safer, but I still get to enjoy my music.

SwissMiss I use the R.E.D. phones that you can insert into the earwarmers on a R.E.D. helmet.
I have the 2010 R.E.D. aletta.
Sounds pretty decent.
