I"m not happy with the "5's" the rachets point down. My boy's board, snow packs under the rachet and it tightens up. Mostly just the front rachet's. This is very annouying. I had to resort to zip tie's to strap the rachets down. This is not a good design in my opinion.
My other boy has the M 9's and we have had NO issues at all. I have the NXT ASE and love them. I have absolutely no strap pain. The power strap fits looser than conventional straps and if you have it to tight, yes, it's hard to get your foot into the binding. Once you learn to set these your in/out in no time.
As for park or freestyle, jibbing etc??? I don't have enough experience to say if they are soft, hard, to flexible etc. For my ability and speed I love them. My kids and I ride together, so once we are off the lift we are riding away
Hope this helps, and just my thoughts.

|actionflies||I just bought a pair from REI and took it out for one trip. So far so good but time will tell. At first it was hard getting in and out of the bindings but I need more time to give a better opinion.|

Flow The Five 2010
I'm sorry I'm adding yet another Flow thread to the forum. But I haven't been able to find any opinion on the Flow 5s.
I read lots of advices to stay away from the Flites, does anyone know if the Fives are a bit better? I found a pair for $110 and wonder if I should go for it. I can't afford the M9 as it's out of my budget.
I'm in the process of picking out a board too. It's pretty likely that I'm gonna go with the Never Summer Pandora 2009. If not the Flow 5s, what other bindings would you recommend in the $110 price range?
Thanks so much~
