unsunken Thanks guys!! I've had this question for ages but never bothered to ask. Never even thought about metal expanding/contracting! Will try that first then use loctite.

DC5R The key is blue loctite. Just add a little dab and screw down hand tight. You should be good to go for the day. Retighten every time before you head out.

ptapia Blue loctite, as mentioned above, if you want to go that route, but the important thing to keep in mind is that metal contracts in the cold and expands with heat. I know that when I tighten my bindings at home at room temp and then go to the mountain, bindings will get lose. I usually try to tighten right before I leave the parking lot every time.

This. Use the blue though. The red will make you an unhappy person if/when you want to take the bindings off...

LuckyRVA I've also seen people mention using blue loctite on the binding screws. I don't use it myself so I can't vouch for it's effectiveness.

TLN Just try to tighten your binders very hard after a day of ride. You can tight them stronger when your stick is cold. That really matters. You can put your board out of house for a night, and tight the bindings hard at the morning.

Tightening bindings?

I have a pair of '09 Ride VXNs. I'll tighten them in the morning as much as I can, and by the halfway through the day they'll be wiggling when shift my weight or rotate my foot.

The baseplate looks like the bumpy-edge part around the holes gets worn down by the washer. I had the same issues with my '01s but I thought it was just cause they were getting old. The '09s have been giving me issues since day 2. I've never had any issues with my Drake DLs, but those have a baseplate cover. Am I doing something wrong or is it just the bindings? Would upgrading to a newer pair with the canted footbed help?
