DC5R OP, go with the pickle. The BTX will help with the ice and, in terms of versatility, the pickle and park star would be rated the same.

There are 2 main differences between the 2. The Pickle has an asymmetrical side cut. Basically the heelside is cut a little deeper to help with turns.

The Riders Choice is a C2BTX, the Pickle is a BTX. Riders Choice is a rocker/camber hybrid.

I got the Riders Choice because I like to rider super fast sometimes. The C2BTX is a lot more stable at high speed. It does well in the park as well as on pow days.

I have had several pow days on my R.C. and It does surprisingly well. It also bombs down icy conditions and doesn't loose the edge.

My wife bought a Girls Pickle and can't keep up with me cause of the chatter when going fast.

Hope that helps.
even though i agree about stability, i really dont feel any issues when riding my skate banana 56 at high speeds. i mean that's probably due to the fact that the 56 is stiffer than the 53, and certainly compared to your wife's park pickle.

cadencesdad Im 5' 7" and ride the pickle in a size 153cm.

Love the way it handles everywhere. Magnetraction is wonderful. for me it turned icy heelside chatter into smooth turns. Wish it had a bit more snap
like a cambered board, but small price to pay for a board that does everything.

rockmonkey95 how do u think the park pickle compares to the riders choice b/c everything is on sale right now and the original price of the park pickle is around the riders choice now.

if you are going to be doing mainly park, you will be fine on a 50...

The Last Laugh I'm riding a park pickle right now and absolutely love it. I can bomb down black diamonds with ease go right into the park to some rails and boxes as well. I've bombed down a couple of groomed iced blue runs and the magne traction helped out tremendously but the board still felt a little loose but that's probably because of my bindings. I have yet to try it on a really great pow day though even though it's been dumping like crazy in Tahoe

Edp25 I am not sure. I like my 153 as the length gets me just a bit more speed. Three centimeters is just over an inch so problably not much difference. My other board is a Ride Havoc which is much more stiff and a 156. It just likes to go down the hill fast!

Edp25 It may be the stiffer, I haven't ridden it. I should also mention that I am a small guy at 5'6" and 140 lbs on a 153 carbon credit. I do love the board. Good luck.
