|iturner82||Well I called K2 and they said Sport Chalet made a mistake. So I called sport chalet and they said that one of their employees was wrong, and that they'd fix it, but likely wouldn't send it in, but would try. Ha we shall see|

|BurtonAvenger||I know I just posted a phone number for no fucking reason at all. You should never call a company EVER! It's fucking Sports Chalet they're a box store that doesn't give a fuck about you hence why they're saying they can't fix your deck. I bet if I was there I could fix it and it would never have a problem again.|

Here's the approach I used for Flux to warranty a pair of bindings that was a month past the warranty date:
ME: I bought a pair of Flux Titans from Community Skate & Snow in Arvada, CO at the end of last season. I've got about 40 days on them now and I've loved them on my Never Summer Evo. However, today I was up on the hill and I just wasn't feeling it. Something felt off. I decided to call it an early day and when I got to the bottom and was unstrapping, I discovered why everything felt off! I've attached pics of the damage. I'm not sure what happened. It was icy today so I was taking it pretty easy and staying well within my comfort zone. I don't know, but I hope you guys will help me out because I do love your bindings!
THEM: LG, sorry to hear!
Our warranty covers manufacturers defects from up to one year from date of purchase. Please provide a proof of purchase, or reciept so we can process your warranty.
Were you requesting a new baseplate? Is it the left binding? Is there any other damage to the binding? Hope this helps
ME: I heard back from Community Skate and Snow. Evidently I purchased on 2/9/10. I hope you guys can cut me some kind of break on this. Pretty please! You'll definitely have a fan for life if you do! I'm really stoked on your gear and I've already converted two of my buddies to Flux customers from my suggestions.
Hope you guys are hanging in there from the earthquakes and tsunamis! Best of luck!
THEM: Where are you located? Address? And is there any other damage other than the broken baseplate on your left Titan that we should know about?

Go with the opposite approach. Talk about how stoked you are on K2 and how you love their shit and always recommend it. To you, K2 IS snowboarding and everything else is bullshit. Maybe don't go that far, but you catch my drift. Sometimes you gotta swallow your pride and hit your knees to get what you want.
Companies want to help those who love them and support them, period. They know word of mouth is the best advertising they can get for free.

I have no way to tell you if its covered or not. Delams that are genuine defects are unheard of. Most are in fact caused by impact whether it be a rail, crash, or simply lift line damage, etc. That’s simply not covered under any manufacturer’s warranty. The dealer is always a good barometer for these things as if they’re a good one, they will usually know what is and is not covered. That said, you can have it sent in by them, but there is probably a better than 99% chance that what they’re telling you is correct."
I sent them an email, and they replied with this. I will try with sport chalet again. What do you think the chances are of them sending me a new board? Because that would be great
