aiidoneus I get bored at the gym. I prefer to be outside, bike, run, longboard. The only reason I do the gym now is upper body ... but I think I may do more climbing.

RidePowder I've been doing athlean-X on and off and I like that alot. I don't like how much commitment p90 has and I like lifting weights. Plus the guy who runs athlean is constantly putting out new content and different workout routines so it's never really the same

Insanity is a little too much Plyo work for me. One thing you could do if you find this to be the case is to substitute some Insanity workouts into the P90x routine to break it up a bit and add some variety. When you get to the point you can recite every corny thing Tony has to say, it's time for a change.

Music Moves I'm in the gym quite a bit... provides a nice alternative to genocide in the work place.

RidePowder I like to longboard and swim in my free time for exercise, though now that I'm in WY I kinda want to learn how to surf at the snake river lunch counter break. See how it goes, my secret to always feeling good after a hard workout has always been Glutamine supplement. It's the most abundant amino acid found in your muscles and the one that's most quickly burned out during a workout. Definitely helps get rid of that muscle stiffness the next day if you throw a spoonful into a gatorade bottle after a workout

Seriously though, I was amazed at how much better shape I was in after riding so much this winter... I don't know what I'm going to do to stay in shape this summer so I'm not totally fat and lazy by the time next season rolls around. I suck at the gym thing
I hate orchestrated exercise. I have to either be having fun or accomplishing something. I would rather go outside and dig holes then spend an hour at the gym

Spent $450 on a nice but low-end road-bicycle last year, and now I'm totally hooked. I don't even really like mountain biking that much anymore, the road bike is so much more fun. It's also one of the most intense workouts available.

Donutz My wife and I have made a deal to hit the Grouse Grind every weekend this summer. We'll see....

slyder Well not sore just tired but I'm always tired. Going to the Chiropractor but my back was sore before the workout. I used to be a solid 205lb I miss those days. I just don't have the time nor money to do that again plus 15yrs on the body, I don't think I can carry that weight and do my job without something letting go. Looks like lean and mean if I can get back into the groove. Time will still be an issue, 50+ hours at work, house work, kids sports, gotta throw sleep in there somewhere.

So we'll see where this leads me, if nothing else I need the cardio, that's for sure.

fattrav ^ I heard that you can get yourself clean, have a good meal and do what ever you feel, at the YMCA.

NWBoarder This thread reminds me that I need to go renew my YMCA membership. The occasional hike and constant BMXing just isn't enough to keep me at a reasonable weight. I like food to much.
