Gotta heap of reggae downloads I can point people to. They're legal, ie radio shows. Til recently I was co-hosting a new release reggae/dancehall show down in NZ on Base FM, my buddy still runs it and puts up downloads of most of the shows.
The shows are straight up mixes with very little talking so perfect for bumpin while you ride, no gaps!
I'll link to a couple of the roots shows and give ya's the folder link as well for you to look thru if you have time.
and root folder > Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire
Some artists to check out:
I could go on... but def heading into 'cool story bro' territory so I won't

I love chilled out reggae and a few bands i listen to regularly are from New Zealand
Katchafire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S52UQ...eature=related
House of Shem - www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgcgAjG8VEQ&feature=related
The Black Seeds - www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDyUcmoIkl0&feature=related
It may not be your thing, but then again it might. Just a taste of their styles, there is heaps out there.

Ok, so you like first wave ska. Like the term 'reggae', dancehall really encompasses a few types of genres fused with reggae. Everything from club techno (like Mega Banton) to ballads by Junior Tucker. Reggaeton only bears a passing resemblance to reggae...it has its roots in latin carribbean music and is more of a genre with reggae-influences than a hybrid of two types of music.
I don't know much about Afro-dub at all... and my dub (or rub a dub) experience comes from listening to my father playing tapes in the car when I was a kid, so I will have to do some research before I can give you any suggestions other than Lee Scratch Perry.
Have you listened to any Damian Marley? Here's a song he did with Nas - Nas & Damian Marley - Nah Mean - YouTube
I will try to give you 2 or 3 suggestions based on what you suggest. Gimme some time to check with my peeps!

|skycdo||Rebelution is an awesome band. They are more of a Cali-Reggea genre but they are one of the only bands that I enjoy all of their music.|
