I notice alot of online vendors don't ship Burton products to Canada.. Anyone know if this is true for WM and SAC as well??

|andrew_schenk||stick with places that ship using USPS or DHL... if you must have it shipped UPS, see if the store will mark it as a warranty item or gift, this will save you money on customs and brokerage fees.|

That is a really good deal!! I wish I had known last week, I would have ordered one too.
At the moment I'm helping my GF find a new board and bindings for next season. The prices in the States are just too good.

most recent one, (that I have paperwork convenient for)
QTY ITEM NO. ITEM DESCRIPTION EACH TOTAL
1 FRM0167-CM148 Forum Superstar Freestyle Snowboard - Women's148 cm $184.99 $184.99
So the $222 is total cost, the $37 includes my GST/PST/duties/shipping and brokerage fees

|Zee||That $430 shipment shipped via USPS would have cost you $8 in brokerage, plus GST and PST. That's why UPS and FedEX suck when it comes to Canadian shipments.|

If you're getting it shipped across the border, there's no way to avoid brokerage fees, GST and PST. Bear in mind, that if the stuff is made in North America, there's no duty under NAFTA, just sales taxes.
Here in Ontario, that's 5% GST + 8% PST.
I just brought in $430 worth of Board and Bindings. Fedex wanted a $15 flat fee, $65 extra shipping and 20% of the invoice for duty/taxes. About $160 extra.
I ended up getting to shipped to a Mail Boxes Etc. place across the border (free from the vendor), paid MBE $10 to receive and hold it for a week, drove down and got it. Declared it at the border and paid about $54 in tax.
Better yet is the exemption you get if you're out of Canada for 48 hours. No tax/duty on goods that you bring back personally under $400
Depending on what you're buying, it might be worth planning a weekend boarding trip to some place in the states, get the stuff shipped to a nearby MBE store, pick it up, ride for the weekend and bring it back tax free. The savings may pay for the lift tickets.

|Zee||When buying from WM or SAC, what are you paying for brokerage?|
