|Butterscotch||So where exactly is this in VA? I've never heard of anything like this before and it looks fun. I'd be willing to try it out.|

|civic2tegg||Never been there but thought about making the trip. But yeah the material is completely different than snow. When you arrive they make you take a brief lesson on how the material works and how to ride on it. I believe they also check your skill level and depending on that they allow you into the terrain park. These are just things I've heard cool concept and worth it if you live near by. But I don't think its worth travelling to.|

The layout looks a lot more fun than the usual mellow, all the same pitch green slope with park features on it you see at indoor 'slopes'. More scaped to work with the 1/4 pipes and rails etc.
I'd def be down to try it out. Kinda far for me to go though!

they actually do summer camps down there at Liberty.
Never been, though.
A friend of mine has some Powderpak which we have used a few times now. I think Liberty uses Snoflex (or Snowflex?) essentially the same concept but IDK how they compare.
On the powderpak, at least, edging is different you really can't "carve" or lay an edge like you would on snow. You can kind of side slip though. ALso I remember reading about the dryslope over in the UK and they said the same thing - for instance that you can't really do a setup carve on the kickers or rail approaches.

Carpetboarding in Virginia
Not sure if this was posted before, but it seems appropriate for the Off Season Recreation area.
Anyone down that way given this a go yet? Seems like using your edges would be kinda weird?
