Perpetual3am Personally I have no problem with executing child molesters or better yet, putting them in with the general population and let prison nature take its course. I do sympathize somewhat with them because in some cases the abuse they suffered in their life may have motivated there pedophilia. But there is also a lot of research that says it might be more a product of nature rather than nurture, and there isn't much evidence that someone can be rehabilitated. To me the only answer is to be locked up for life or a death sentence. The damage and almost irreparable effects on the victims is horrible, thus I think the crime fits the punishment. Civil society just can't accommodate such people, it's unfortunate but it is what it is.

The only issue I have with the death penalty is the inherent flaws in our justice system. Too many innocent people have gone to jail in the past, a lot because of lack of DNA testing at the time but in my mind if you're going to go this route you have to absolutely sure on the evidence.

snowjeeper I think there should be mandatory de-balling for child molesters.

snowjeeper Ohhh I don't know if that's possible lol.

lets be real. penn state has alot more to loose than he does....that university is trying to save face big time and its gonna cost them for years to come..
Sandusky is 'free' of the university now, the cat's out of the bag and he's terminated. In his life, they're ancient history and he's got MUCH more important things to think about. There's no way in hell the uni or its interests has any say in what he does next.

It was just stupidity. Costas was supposed to interview the lawyer, but then at the last minute the lawyer offered Sandusky for the interview. What happened was that Sandusky, like Gary Condit, thought he could appeal to reason through a direct interview with the media. Both were stupid moves, because the media hasn't cared about facts since Cronkite retired. Unfortunately, Sandusky is guilty as sin while Condit just got pressed through the pasta maker because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants and his mouth shut (thank you sensationalist media and conspiracy theorists).

Sandusky's interview followed the classic 'admit to a little bit and maybe they'll back off' pattern...... I ask you, does anyone here think you can carry a t-bone steak through a den of hungry tigers by tossing them a single buffalo wing because you think it will satisfy them?

To really make this whole post concise: Sandusky was stupid, his lawyer is resigned to the inevitable guilty verdict, Penn State has no ability to control him anymore, and he has no reason to listen to Penn State.

linvillegorge Yep, if he truly did what is alleged, fuck him. The world would be a better place without pieces of shit like that.

I wouldn't wish him dead, nor would I ever kill someone (unless it was heat of the moment involving my own family) but if he died somehow I wouldn't pour him any liquor. Maybe even say good riddance. I think we can all agree that is pretty reasonable

What a scumbag.

linvillegorge Sandusky's lawyer knows he's fucked regardless. If Sandusky wanted to do the interview, whatever, let him. It doesn't matter.

MunkySpunk No, Sandusky and his lawyer are just stupid. You see way too many conspiracies my friend.

He's already getting sent up the river, the trial is just a formality at this point - I only wish he was younger so he could rot in jail longer. How much worse could he possibly make things with an interview? It's like cutting yourself shaving AFTER you've lopped your own head off.

I kind of see you as playing a bit of game here to turn this into some sort of debating exercise from reading your baiting of Shredlife then doing the word play thing. I am not interested in that; I am just telling you what my deepest down personal feelings are be they right or wrong; cant help it, its just how I feel. The fact that I could have no regret or remorse might make me a sociopath, but so be it. I feel sad when I hit a bird or squirrel in the road with my car, but I wouldn't feel anything but a sense of justice seeing this guy`s diseased brain splatter on the wall after I pulled the trigger.

Yes life is valuable and that is why I could remorselessly kill this piece of shit. He has callously damaged how many people`s lives by sodomizing young boys. In most cases, I would try to exhaust any means possible short of lethal force but not in cases where someone does this to a kid.

Maybe this is an evil side to me I don`t know. Maybe its just a primal reptilian part of the brain at work, but it is how I am wired. When it comes to some piece of shit doing this to kid, yes I could pull the trigger without hesitation and I would not feel bad about because a sick piece of shit like this is not a human being in my eyes....
I'm not trying to debate anything. I'm just saying that I've known very few people who have killed anyone, and the ones that have did so for the sake of self preservation. They have problems sleeping, they have episodes of debilitating psychosis to the point where it affects their physical health. Having worked and spent time with someone who personally murdered a man with a knife, a much more personal affair to violently drive a 6" clip point blade through someone's carotid artery, I can tell you that when people talk about murder as a matter of current events or whatever, they don't really grasp the intensity of what they are talking about. I don't grasp the intensity of it but I know it's something I'd never resort to unless it was my immediate or someone else's immediate well being at stake.

Talking about murdering someone is one thing. Actually doing it is something else entirely. I agree that I feel outraged to the point where I feel like I could murder someone but that's all that is; a feeling.
