Deviant If you use Google Chrome, there is an add-on that adds a download button to all youtube videos/mp3's.

For a specific artist, I like a fair amount of Professor Kliq's stuff.

mrmidWest You can download Immortal Techniques outstanding new album off his website for free.

Also I think Radioheads last album was free off their site as well.

mangtarn problem with that youtube mp3 thing is that it often gives you music that are low in bit rate (quality). doesn't really matter if you don't care about the quality.

mangtarn a lot of musicians give out music for free. but ummm, Bit Torrent is a pretty big name in the industry.
